Who we are
Founded in 1981, Rustam is not just a well-established centre for Persian learning from primary to GCSE and A-level standard, but a community that celebrates our students’ Anglo/Persian identities and gives them opportunities to grow and shine together as young people.
We do this by giving them access to and the support of:
- Expert and committed teaching and support staff
- Strong experienced leadership team
- Relevant resources for primary to A-level
- A rich and extensive library
- Up to date teaching techniques
- Enriching educational visits
- Engaging guest speakers
- Extra-curricular activities such as sport, dance and music
- Rustam-written textbooks, used by Persian schools globally
- Active ‘Friends of Rustam’ group, organising cultural festivals and events, as well as selling delicious home-made Persian food every Saturday
Whilst we are proud of our online learning experience during lock-down and are prepared to continue this if need be, we are also hoping to start the 20/21 academic year back at Fortismere School, providing it is safe to do so.
If you would like to secure a place for your child/children in advance, you can find our more about fees and complete the enrollment form HERE
Learning through lock-down
Like many others COVID 19 took us by surprise, but we adjusted quickly, adapting to remote teaching and new technologies. We are proud of all our staff, parents and students for rising to the challenge, not missing a day of teaching and continuing to nurture and develop our students and care for our community.
Over Summer we will be reviewing our successes and learning, whilst following the developing guidance to make sure we are prepared and able to offer the best learning and community experience from September 2020.

Announcement for next academic year
Autumn term 2020/21
Due to the success of our online learning and cultural activities over the last 4 months and in light of the ongoing restrictions imposed by Covid-19,
Rustam School will continue online for the Autumn Term.
There are still places available for new students so if you are interested in joining our community you can find out more and complete the enrolment form here.
Courses online, faculty classes and seminars.
New students are enrolled in September each year, but mid-term registration is also possible depending on availability. You can download and complete enrolment forms below, but we would recommend that prospective pupils and their parents visit the school first and have the opportunity to meet with our head teacher.
In addition to the core term times and teaching timetable, we support and enrich our community by putting on a number of events and experiences throughout the year, from educational trips to concerts and guest speakers.
The current calendar is below and we endeavour to keep our community up-to-date with news of events and any changes to dates and plans. These bulletins are communicated via social media, the website and a news board in the school’s parents’ hall. Letters also sent to parents for special events. You can keep up to date with dates and events by following us on social media here: Facebook | Twitter | Instagram
